THE LATE AIRS. AIARGARET KENNY, IRELAND

Many friends will regret to learn of the death, recently, at her daughter’s residence, Rosnostra House, Killaveney, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, of Airs. Alargaret Kenny, relict of the late Thomas Kenny, of Goulde House, Cool Kenuo (says a Home paper). Although deceased had been suffering from heart disease for some time, there was no immediate danger of death, but the end came suddenly whilst she was visiting her daughter, Airs. J. .1. Hayden. The deceased was the daughter of Air. P. I). Dempsey, of The Hollow, Ballygalduff, and a sister of the Rev. Aidan E. Dempsey, S.M., of Jefferson College, La., and aunt of the Rev. Albert Carroll, S.M., of Van Bureu College. She was during her life notable for many virtues, but especially for her sincere piety, and her great spirit of kindness! and charity. One of a race that had given many a valiant son and daughter to the service of Church and country. She rejoiced to know- that her children were serving God in faroff lands. The funeral obsequies, which were largely attended by. representatives from both counties, was conducted by the Very Rev. Canon ,Dunne, P.P., Killaveney, assisted by the Rev. M. C. Hayden and several of the diocesan clergy, the interment taking place at the family burial ground in Tomacork. The chief mourners were Mr. P. J. Kenny, Goulde House; Air. John Kenny, Shillelagh; and Mr. L. A. Kenny, Tullow (sons), and Messrs. J. J. Hayden and W. H. L. Burke, of the Abbey Roscommon (sons-in-law), to whom the sympathy of a host of friends is tendered. The deceased had two daughters in religion—one a Sister of Mercy, in Auckland (Sister M. Josephine), and one (Sister M. Xavier, a Brigidine Nun in Sydney, New South Wales. — . ..T ’ ’
