AUSTRALIAN SEAMEN AND DEPORTATIONS. Deportations from Australia were discussed at a meeting' of the Sydney branch of the Federated Seamen’s Union, held on Monday night (says the Advocate, Melbourne, under date June 3). The following resolution was unanimously passed:—“That this meeting of seamen emphatically protests against the deportation of any person or persons from this country, without a trial ; and, further, we take this opportunity of giving the Government of this country to understand that, as far as the seamen of New South Wales are concerned, we unconditionally refuse to man any ship which may be used for the deportation of any person or persons from this country.”
