SUPERFLUOUS HAIR

LATEST AMERICAN TREATMENT. That hair can e successfully and permanently removed by electrolysis is now an established fact. It was not until the year 1879 that Dr. 6. E Michel of St. Louis, U.S.A., devised a method for removing hair by means of electrolysis. America is, therefore, the home of this treatment, and it was at one of the leading institutions in that country that Mrs. Rolleston secured her diploma ten years ago, having been trained personally bv Dr. A. Rhodes, of Boston. y Mrs. Rolleston is recognised as the most successful operator in Australasia, and the leading authority where disfigurements caused by the growth of hair or moles are concerned. Her experience is based on a thorough knowledge of the electrical current required, and on sound medical training—hence her successful treatments, which are executed without the slightest scar or blemish remaining, and the hair is removed for all time. However few hairs you may be troubled with, Mrs. Rolleston's advice is to have them instantly taken out! The very-worst and most distressing growths begin with a few hairs; often they are pulled by tweezers, or cut, both methods increasing the growth rapidly. Later on an advertisement for a depilatory sounds attractive, as it guarantees to remove the hair. It certainly will, but only for a few days; and in many cases is more harmful than shaving for increasing the growth. The heaviest growth can be permanently removed by electrolysis. It requires patience, certainly; but regular weekly or fortnightly treatments of an hour have proved to hundreds how worthwhile it is, and that electrolysis is absolutely the only permanent cure.
