At Utrecht, Holland, recently, a General Convention of the Catholics of Holland was held, attended by the four Catholic Bishops and the Archbishop of Utrecht, the various Ministers of the State, and the leaders of the lay organisations. At this convention the Catholic daily papers were proclaimed as the efficient instrument for the dissemination of Catholic principles and ideas. Do not let us wait to be just or pitiful or demonstrative towards those we lovo until they or we are struck down by illness or threatened with death. Life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are travelling the dark journey with us. Oh! be swift to love, make haste to be kind.—Amjel. •
