(From our own correspondent.) July 25. . The boys of St. Thomas's Academy resumed studies after their midwinter vacation on Tuesday, the 22nd. There are now some 50 resident pupils. On Monday, July 21, a Solemn Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Patrick's Basilica for the repose of the souls of the soldiers of the parish who had fallen in battle or died as the result of the war. Father O'Connell was celebrant, Father Foley deacon, and Father Langley, C.SS.R., subdeacon. Music, appropriate to the occasion, was rendered by the choir. There was a crowded congregation. At the conclusion of the Mass the "Dead March" was played by the organist, Miss Cartwright. _-—■ __ „ , - - .
