Snow on the. hills, and stars in a crystal sky ...., . Around me; the golden leagues of the prairie lie Under the blaze of July. And my heart turns home "to the hills in their wintry > white, ,-. As I saw them last on that last December night Radiant in cold star-light, To the hills of my heart that are far over land and sea And the little snug house on the beacon where I would be, . . '. That is all in all to me. So under the blaze of July, While round me the golden leagues of the prairie lie, I long for the snow on the hills and the stars in a crystal sky.
