WEDDING BELLS

COFFEY—TRUMAN. At the Cathedral, Christchurch, on October 9, the marriage was celebrated of Miss Daisy Margaret Truman, youngest daughter of - the late Mr. and Mrs. .John Truman, Spreydon, Christchurch, and Mr. John Michael Coffey, only son of Mr. James Coffey, Kaiapoi. Father Fogarty officiated. The service was choral, Mr. Harry Ilfscoeks presiding at the organ. The bride was prettily frocked in white taffeta, the bodice being finished with crepe georgette and crepe-de-chine. She wore a tulle veil, with a wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a small posey of white flowers. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Truman and Miss Nellie Coffey, who wore pretty frocks of white crepe-de-chine and tulle scarves bordered with silver, and carried-sheaves of arum lillies. Messrs. T. P. O'Rourke and L. J. Courtney (members of St. Patrick's branch of the Hibernian Society, of which Mr. Coffey is president) were groomsmen. After the ceremony about 70 guests were entertained at Broadway's, amongst them being Fathers Fogarty, Long, and Carroll, and .representatives of the Celtic Club and Hibernian Society. The happy couple left for Wellington in the evening, the bride wearing a travelling costume of shepherds plaid, with a. white georgette hat trimmed with ospreys. •■' \
