Palmerston North
(From our own correspondent.) July 29. A meeting of parishioners was held on Sunday last to consider the question of promoting a memorial to the late Father Dore. A large and influential committee has been formed, and judging by the enthusiasm shown the proposal is sure to eventuate. It has not vet been decided what form the memorial should take. The appeal for subscriptions will be a general one, as the late Father Dore rendered a national service to the Catholics of this country as a whole. It is anticipated that whatever appeal is made will meet with a ready response.
