DUNFORD.—On December 12, 1917 (killed in action on the Western Front), Private Patrick Dunford, sixth son of Mr. William Dunford, Andersons Bay, Dunedin; aged 25 years.—R.l.P. KEARNEY.—On December 3, 1917 (killed in action "Somewhere in France"), John Patrick Verdon, eldest and dearly beloved son of John and Mary Kearney, of Ranfurly, and brother of Mrs. F. A. Laloli, Roxburgh, and Mrs. A. McKay, Gisborne; aged 31 years.—R.l.P. KINNEY.—On December 3, 197 (killed in action in „ France), Private Francis Joseph Kinney (27th Reinforcements), youngest dearly beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Kinney, St. Clair, Dunedin ; aged 27 years. On whose soul, sweet Jesus, have mercy. McVEIGH.—On January 9, 1917 (killed in action), Sergeant J. C. McVeigh, dearly loved son of Mr. and Mrs. D. McVeigh, Weston (late of Lincoln); aged 26 years.
