ST. PATRICK’S DOMINICAN COLLEGE, TESCHEMAKERS (Near O AMARU). The First Term of 1918 commences on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5. The Prospectus may be had on application. • The College is surrounded by ornamental grounds, of wide extent, large playing fields, meadow land, and cultivated areas, covering over 150 acres. It lies eight miles South of Oamaru, and one and a-half miles from Teschemakers Siding. COURSE OF STUDIES. As St. Patrick’s is affiliated to the University of Oxford, the course of Studies is arranged to meet the requirements of the Oxford Local Examinations. This course necessarily includes the subjects needed for the Matriculation N.Z. University, Medical Preliminary, Solicitor’s General Knowledge, Senior and Junior Public Service, and Teachers’ Examinations. Pupils of the College enter regularly for these various examinations. The Primary School is under the supervision and examination of the Inspectors of the Otago Board, and is noted for the success of its Proficiency Candidates. In addition to the ordinary School Course the following subjects are dealt with: Home Science, Plain and Fancy Needlework, } Drawing and Painting, Physical Culture, Elocution, Musical Knowledge, and Commercial Subjects. In the Music School, Students are prepared for the Annual Examinations of the Associated Board, and of Trinity College, in Piano, Violin, and Singing, both Theoretical and Practical, ST. DOMINIC’S COLLEGE, DUNEDIN Studies will be resumed on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5. Boarders are required to be in residence on Monday February 4. Intending pupils are urged to present themselves in time for the opening of the classes. 1
