There is an abundance of whitebait in the Grey River at the present time (says the Grey River Argus), and several people are employing their spar© hours in catching the delicacy, which at the ruling prices gives a good return financially. A correspondent directs the attention of the Wyndham Farmer to the fact that there are* employed on a district sheep run of fairly large ’proportions, three assistants whose combined ages total 202 years. This worthy trio of “old codgers” are courageously and quite satisfactorily “doing their bit of Home Service, and thus helping to maintain our country’s production, while so many of the younger men are “out West,” dealing with the inexpressible Hun.
