Opunake
(From our own correspondent.) Messrs. Michael and William Fennell and Join* Boyhan are back on final leave. At a meeting of the Catholic Federation held here last Sunday it was decided to canvass the parish for members, as there are several who are not enrolled. May devotions were well attended by the parishioners of Opunake. The Catholic bazaar recently held here was a great success, the sum of £SOB 6s 4d being realised, which goes towards the erection of a new church at Opunake. Much credit is due to our- worthy parish priest, Rev. Father Doolaghty, for his untiring efforts, also to "the secretary, Mr. Ted Hickey, and his assistant, Mr. Leo Macßeynolds. Praise is also due to the stallholders and assistants for the energetic manner all strove to make the bazaar the success it proved. The following is a list of stallholders and the amounts realised at each:—Plain and Fancy —Mesdames M. Brophy, A. C. Walshe, and M. J. Brennan (£237 18s 9d). Provision Stall Mesdames A.
