NOTICE OF BOOK
fallen — Education of Boys. (E. J. Dwyer, Sydney, 3s 2d post free). Fourteen articles previously published in the Dolphin on the subject of Christian education are given to the public in this book. The author deals convincingly with this important question, setting forth clearly what education really is, and how futile it is to pretend there can be education where religion is neglected. The chapter on the responsibilities of parents and their obligation in conscience to send their children to Catholic schools should be read by those who persist in running counter to the mind of the Church in this matter. A few days ago the Minister of Education declared that the end of all education was to train children to take/-' an intelligent part in life. A serious perusal of. this little book would help Mr. Hananvto begin to understand his subject, of the ends and aims of which he betrays a lamentable ignorance. To all who are anxious to know exactly why the Church sets such value on a Christian education, and what a wrong parents do their children if they refuse to Rend them to Catholic gphppls wo glaeUy vssQmmsn& bbto hook?
