Hokitika
The Rev. Father Quinn is at present in Hokitika relieving Father Clancy, who has gone for a brief holiday. Mr. F. P. H. Sellars, a prominent member of St. Mary’s Church, has been appointed to succeed Mr. J. Downey as superintendent of Sea View Mental Hospital. Mr. Sellars has been in the service nearly t 35 years, and during that period has performed many and varjed duties. For the last fourteen years he carried out the' clerical duties of the institution in a most capable manner. He takes an active interest in St. Mary’s Club, and he has on three occasions acted as president. The half-yearly meeting of the Robert Emmet branch of the H.A.C.B. Society was held on Thursday evening last, when the installation of officers took place. Past-President Bro. L. Dwan installed the following officers for the ensuing term’; —President, Bro. H. Williams; vice-president, Bro. M. McGovern; secretary, Bro. P. Callan ; treasurer, Bro. J. Sullivan; warden! Bro. J. Cahill; guardian, Bro. W. Neads; sick visitors, Bros. J. Cahill' and J. Pickering. A considerable amount of business relating to the welfare of the lodge was transacted, and two new members were elected. A vote of thanks to the outgoing officers was carried unanimously, after which the meeting closed.
