At the Solemn High Mass the choir, under the baton of Mr. Simon sang the Mass of St. Mary Magdalen in a very artistic manner. The members were entertained at the presbytery after Mass by the Very Rev. Dean Regnault, S.M , who expressed his appreciation of the excellent work done by the choir and thanked them for the efforts they T ? ac6 to enhance by their singing the beauty of the Church ceremonies. Occasion was taken by the spuitual director on behalf of the choir to present the conductor (Mr. Simon) with a silver-mounted baton suitably inscribed. The Rev. Father Seymour, S M in making the presentation, thanked Mr. Simon ’for the very great assistance he had rendered to the choir at the cost of much personal sacrifice. The choir wished by their small gift to show their appreciation of Mr. Simon s work, and all hoped that he would long be able to remain with them and bring to still greater perfection the work he was so successfully doing.
