He said that the number of scholars had reached 144, and he was pleased at being able to testify-to their thoroughly good dispositions with regard to studies, both religious and secular. On the sporting field they had also been prominent. They won the north district schools championship Association football competition, entitling each player to a silver medal. They had been successful also in winning the cup and championship of the 6th Division Aof the Association football competition. He informed his Grace that there existed among the boys a. fine Catholic spirit, and he said that after leaving school they would Be a credit to their school and Church. His Grace, after stating that he was pleased with the results of the school during the year, said that it was gratifying to have such a fine number of Catholic boys attending the school, and he hoped that the number would still continue to increase and that those who were leaving, would, as Father Smyth said, be a credit to the Church and school. lie concluded by wishing the boys a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
