. (From our own correspondent.) At the recent examination, held in St. Mary's High School, the following pupils received their proficiency certificates—M. Pickett,.J. Ross, E. Stephens, M. Nolan. I >; : . -.;, .:■./ ~: ■_.. „A very large congregation attended mid-night Mass on Christmas Day at St. Mary's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Father Clancy, who also preached on the feast, of the day. The altar was tastefully decorated by the ladies of the Altar. Society. The music for the service was supplied by the members of the choir, under the conductorsjvip of - Mrs. S. W. Richardson, whilst Miss A•;• Daly presided .at the , organ. The Mass chosen j for the! occasion was Winter's, and was , well rendered.
