Cardinal Mercier will be sixty-five years old on November 22 next. On that day Belgians throughout’ the world are preparing to honor him as a patriot and churchman. In a little booklet recently issued by friends of the Cardinal and sent to all parts of the neutral world occurs this passage: No one knows what the future has in store for Cardinal Mex*cier, but he will at all times be equal to his task. The whole world admires him, and Belgium in particular is proud of her great son. ■ ,
