On October 9, 1916 (died from 'wounds received in action in France), Signaller William Manus Butler (N.Z.R.8.), eldest sou of William and Sarah Butler, 35 Bradshaw street, South Dunedin; in his 23rd year; deeply mourned. E.I.P. 1 “ FENWICK. On August 12, 1916 (killed in action in France), Sergeant Magnus Francis (Manus) Fenwick, late of 4 Grove street St. Kilda. and only son of the late Henry Fenwick; in his 27th year; deeply regretted.—R.l.P. PEERS. —On September 17, 1916 (died of wounds in France), Rifleman Richard P.eers, of Wakarara, second beloved son of Mary and the late Joseph Peers, of Takapau, Hawke’s Bay.—R.l.P.
