(From our own correspondent.) October 22. A very successful euchre tournament was held in St. Mary’s Clubrooms on Tuesday evening last in aid of the Dublin poor. Another old and esteemed resident of the district, in the person of Mr. James Stuart, passed away yesterday morning. The deceased gentleman was a native of Dumbarton, Scotland, and was. 72 years of age. He leaves a widow and a family of eight to mourn their loss Mrs. H. Burger (Greymouth), Mrs. J. Chapman (Ross), and Misses Mary and Kate Stuart, and Messrs. Joseph (Wellington), David (Hokitika), and Thomas and Robert, who are at the front.—R.l.P.
