PRIVATE PATRICK CASEY.

Private Patrick Casey, of Otara, Southland, was killed in action in France on September 27. His brother. Private John Casey, died in France after an

attack ot pneumonia, whilst a younger brother is at present in the firing line on the Western front. TROOPER CECIL S. DEL ANY. Advice -was received last week that Trooper Cecil Sylvester Delauy had been killed in action on October 5. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Delany, North-East Valley. lie was born at Arrowtown, and was educated at the Christian Brothers’ School, Dunedin. Prior to enlisting he was engaged in farming in South Canterbury. He left Timaru with the Canterbury Mounted Rifles (4th Reinforcements), and served on Gallipoli, where he was wounded and invalided to England. For some time past he had been in France. He was attached to the 3rd Battalion, New Zealand Field Artillery, when he met his death. . LANCE-CORPORAL J. B. DALEY. Lance-Corporal J. B. Daley (wounded in France on September 18) is the third son of Mr. J. Daley, Tycho Flat, Timaru. lie was born in Christchurch 29 years ago, and received part of his education at the Marist Brothers’ School, and later at Cheviot. Before enlisting in the 9th Reinforcements, Lance-Cor-poral Daley was engaged in farming at Ma Waro, Timaru.
