NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS, 1916. The following alterations in ami additions to the ordinary train service will be made in connection with the above:— ' EXTRA EXPRESS TRAINS. Duuedin-Christchurch. On 25th, 27th, 28th, and 31st December, also 3rd and 4th January. Extra express trains with dining cars, between Christchurch and Dunedin will run as under : Christchurch depart 9.10 a.in., Oamaru 2.15 p.m., Maheno 2.42, Herbert 2.53, Hampden 3.14, Hillgrove 3.21, Palmerston 3.52, Waikouaiti 4.12, Seacliff 4.36, Waitati 5.1, Dunedin arrive 6 p.m. Stops where timed, and Port Chalmers Upper to allow passengers to alight. , Dunedin depart 10.45 a.in., Waitati 11.36, Seacliff 11.57, Waikouaiti 12.16, Palmerston 12.40, Hampden 1.15, Oamaru 2.25, Christchurch arrive 7.10: Lyttelton arrive 7.38 pun. Stops where limed and at Hillgrove, Herbert, Studholme, Timaru, Tcmuka, Orari, Ashburton, and Rakaia : also at Port Chalmers Upper and-Maheno to pick up passengers for north of Oamaru. Dunedin-Ba hint ha . On 30th and 31st December, also Ist. and 3rd January. Express train for Halclulha will leave Dunedin at 9 a.in. Connects with Lawrence and Catlins River Branch Trains. Slops at Caversham and Mosgiel to pick up passengers, and at Allanton, Henley, Titri, Waihola, Milburn, Milton, and Stirling to pick up or set down passengers. Express trains will leave Balclutha at 4.10 p.m. Connects with trains from Catlins River and Lawrence Branches. Stops at Stirling, Milton, Milburn, Waihola, Titri, Henley, Mosgiel, and Caversham to pick up or set down passengers. Dunedin-Gore-Invercargill. On 3rd and 4th January, the Down Mail Train leaving Dunedin at 8.30 a.m. will uun to Goue only. Will take passengers for Waiwera, Clinton, Waipahi, Tapanui Branch, Pnkerau, Gore, and Stations on the Gore-Kingston line and Waikaka Branch only. Express Train for Invercargill will leave Dunedin at 8.45 a.m. Will take passengers for Mataura and stations south thereof only. Stops at Caversham, Mosgiel, Milton, Stirling, “’Balclutha, Waiwera, and Clinton. , FRIDAY, 31st DECEMBER. Dunedin-Oamaru. — Goods Train (with car attached') usually leaving Dunedin for Palmerston at 4.35 a.m., will not leave until 5.10 a.m. ; leaves Seacliff at, usual time. Train for Oamaru and intermediate stations will leave Dunedin at 11 p.m. Train for Christchurch will leave Dunedin at 10.45 p.m. Train will leave Dunedin for Balclutha at 6.25 p.m., connecting with trains for Lawrence and Catlins River Branches. Takes passengers for Owhiro and stations south thereof only.

Train will leave Dunedin for Invercargill at 11.15 p.m. Train will leave Dunedin for Mosgiel at 11.25 p.tn.

- SATURDAY, Ist JANUARY. b Expiess train will leave Dunedin for, Palmerston at 9,25 a.m., stopping at Waitati, .Seacliff, Puketeraki, and Waikouaiti, stops at Port Chalmers Upper to pick up passengers.. , Express train will leave Palmerston for Dunedin at p.m., stopping at Waikouaiti, Puketeraki, Seacliff, Warrington, Evansdale, Waitati, and Purakanui, also at Port Chalmers Upper to allow passengers to alight. Train, stopping at Waikouaiti and Goodwood only, will leave Dunedin at 9.55 a.m. Train for Waikouaiti and intermediate stations will leave Dunedin at 10.10 a.m. Train for Dunedin and intermediate stations will leave Palmerston at 4.15 p.m. and 6 p.m., arriving Dunedin 7.5 p.m. and 8.33 p.m. I rain, taking passengers for Dunedin only, will leave Waikouaiti at 5.30 p.m., arriving Dunedin 7.13 p.m. r , ' " j The train usually leaving Dunedin for Palmerston at 5.27 p.m., will NOT leave till 7.42 p.m. MONDAY, 3rd JANUARY. Special train will leave Dunedin at 7.35 a.m., arriving Oamaru 11.3 a.m. and Racecourse 11.25 a.m. Stops at Ravensbourne, Port Chalmers Upper, Waitati, Seacliff, Waikouaiti, Palmerston, and Hampden only. Special Express train will leave Oamaru at 6.25 p.m., arriving Dunedin 9.55 p.m. Stops, at Hampden, Palmerston, Waikouaiti, Seacliff, Waitati, Port Chalmers Upper, and Ravensbourne only. Dunedin-Palmerston. —The 4.35 a.m. Dunedih-Pal-merstou train and the 5 a.m. and 5 p.m'. PalmerstonDunedin trains will NOT run. Express train will leave Dunedin for Palmerston at 9.25 a.m. Stops at Waitati, Seacliff, Puketeraki, and Waikouaiti, and at Port Chalmers Upper to pick up passengers. * Express train will leave Palmerston for Dunedin at 5.10 p.m., stopping at Waikouaiti, Puketeraki, Seacliff, Warrington, Evansdale, Waitati, Puraksmui, and Port Chalmers Upper. ? Trains for Palmerston and intermediate stations will leave Dunedin at 8.30 a.m. and 9.40 a.m., arriving Palmerston 11.18 a.m. and 12.25 respectively. Return trains stopping at intermediate stations, will leave Palmerston at 4.15 p.m., and 6.5 ; p.m., arriving Dunedin 7.15 p.m. and 8.45 p.m. respectively. Dunedih-Port Chalmers.— The 8.16 a.m. DunedinPort Chalmers, and. the 9.35 a.m. Port ChalmersDunedin trains will not run. Dunediu-Balclutha.—The 5.10 ai.m. Dunedin-Bal-clutha train will not run. " r Train for Balclutha will leave Dunedin at 6.25 p.m. Connects with train for Lawrence. Will take passengers for Owhiro and stations sodth thereof only. NIGHT TRAINS Train for Christchurch will leave Dunedin at 8.45 p.m. Train for Invercargill will leave Dunedin at 10 p.m. TUESDAY, 4th JANUARY.
