A tornado which swept through Missouri early in August damaged several Catholic institutions. The convent of the Religious of the Sacred Heart at St. Charles was badly damaged, and the shrine of Mme. Duchesne, founder of the American branch of the Order, was crushed to the ground. — ■ :4
