CONVENT SCHOOL, WANGANUI

The annual entertainment given by the Convent pupils was held at His Majesty's Theatre, and was a great success. There was a large audience, and the programme was much enjoyed, it was quite different from the programmes usually presented, being devoted mainly to a- very nice and elaborate operetta, The Egyptian Princess/ and a song and dance, ‘ The butterfly and the flowers.’ Both were splendidly produced, reflecting great credit on the girls and the Sisters who trained them. Miss Price’s orchestra’s overture was much enjoyed, as' were a pianoforte solo by Miss Clara Williams and a pianoforte duet by Misses Olive Martin and Mona Mack.
