A meeting of farmers was held at Raetihi last week to consider the Californian thistle problem. After a lengthy discussion the meeting passed a resolution to the effect that the cutting of the thistle was impracticable and utterly useless as a means of preventing spread and growth, and that the obligation of cutting should not be enforced.
