Quelch (Mayor of Mosgiel) has . been returned without opposition -as representative on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board for the combined district of Mosgiel Borough; and Taieri County. ’ Sunday last being the first Sunday of the month, there was Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Joseph’s Cathedral from the eleven o’clock Mass until after Vespers, when the usual procession took place, followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. ,On All Souls’ Day Pontifical Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Joseph’s Cathedral at 7 o’clock. , His Lordship Bishop Verdon was celebrant.
