; ;■ ; O’MALLEY— SHEEHAN. ./.■■, ' A pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Thomas’ Church, Winton, on Wednesday, October 28, when Kathleen Lilian, fourth daughter of Mr. M.. Sheehan, \Vinton, was married to Walter O’Malley, of.Lumsden. ;■ The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father O’Neill. The bride, who was led to the altar by her father (Mr. M. Sheehan), was gracefully gowned in . a dress of white satin, the -bodice trimmed •; with real, c lace and pearls. : The skirt was beautifully draped, caught at the side with pearls and orange blossom. -The I' bride carried an ivory prayer book, and wore the bridegroom’s gift, a gold pendant set with , amethysts. She was attended by. her sister (Miss Ena Sheehan) , who was prettily attired in a ‘.dress of - brown silk made with the new tunic, the bodices being finely tucked . with belt of brown silk. She also wore the’ bridegroom’s gift, a Nellie Stewart bangle. The bride’s present to the bride- - groom was a silver pocket-book.- Mr. Nelson Wilkinson, of Lunisden, acted ,as best man. After the wedding ' breakfast, which was held in the Rink Tea Rooms, the : happy couple left by. motor for Invercargill eh route ’- for the north, where the dioneymo'n- is being spent. ’ They -were the recipients, of many ; beautiful and useful presents, including cheques. ! Mr.-and Mrs. O’Malley s future home will be in Winton. The bride s travelling costume was navy blue, with white stripe, short-pleated , tunic, and drabed skirt and y : hat of white satin trimmed with floral'-silk and osprey. . The btidesmaid’s hat was •’ white -tagol,'. wreaths of violets and tulle. •
