Parnell
(From an occasional correspondent.)
A* Requiem Mass was offered on Tuesday morning last at St. John’s Church, for- the repose of the soul of the late Rev. Father Kehoe, late pastor of • St. John’s, Parnell. Many of the congregation received Holy Communion, and the church was draped in black. Rev. Father Patterson made- reference to the many Bind and priestly qualities of the deceased, and how he was revered and respected by all. ’ His silent life was a sermon in itself, and his love of prayer was known to all. At all the Masses on Sunday reference was made to the deceased priest by Father Patterson, and the ‘Dead March ’ in ‘Saul’ was played, the congregation standing in silence. Special prayers were offered for the repose of his soul.
