A commendable performance (writes a Gisborne correspondent) was given by Miss Eileen Keany (a pupil of Sister Mar y; Ephrem, St. Joseph’s Convent), who was successful in gaining second place at the Gisborne Competitions. The judge, in his remark's, said that she had a very sweet, tuneful/T voice, and has every opportunity ofbeing, heard to advantage in the hear future.
