(From our own correspondent.) At the half-yearly meeting of the H.A.C.B. Society. the following officers were elected;—President, Mr. .7. Dwyer ; vice-president, Mr. E. J. Columb ; secretary, Mr. C. Coakley ; treasurer, Mr. D. Coakley ; warden, Mr. M. Whelan; guardian, Mr. M. Sullivan.; sick visitors, Messrs. E. Kenny and A. Wren. Widespread sympathy is expressed throughout the parish at the death of his Holiness Pone Pius X. I regret to have to record the death of Mr. T. McDonald, after a long illness.—R.l.P. The practical examination in connection with Trinity College, London, was held on Tuesday evening, August 11, at St. Joseph’s Convent, by the visiting examiner, Mr. St. George. All the candidates were successful. The results are as follow:Senior Grade Bertha Baker, 80 (honors). Intermediate Grade— Violet Benshaw, 82 (honors). Preparatory Grade Clare Bateman, 81 (honors); Violet Adlam, 75; May Potterton, 74; Mary Ford, 72; Ellen Bane, 70; Nita Johnstone, 70. First ' Kathleen Cooney, 74; Casilda Scarborough, 74; Olive Flynn, 71.
