The Bluff oyster season commenced on Saturday, when the local oyster fleet- made its first visit to the beds. Some 450 sacks were taken, which will go a long way towards fulfilling merchants’ orders for the commencement of the season. The oysters are reported to be in an exceptionally firm condition.
