English, Miss Hannah Cartwright was successful in gaining the licentiate diploma, L.A.8., for solo pianists of concert standard. Miss IT. Cartwright has the honour of being a licentiate of Trinity College of Music as well' as of the Associated Board. The local representative of the Associated Board has been advised that Miss Mabel Currie has passed her examination in rudiments of music with a credit of 90 marks. The sixth annual meeting of the Hibernian Band was held in Ashley's Hall on Thursday evening, the 11th in'st. There was a large attendance of members and supporters. The report and balance sheet outlined the continued success of the band since its inception.
