' (From our own correspondent.) October 19. A meeting bas been called for next Sunday to inaugurate a conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society in this district. Speaking on Sunday of the growing needs of St. Mary’s Schools, Rev. Father Lane stated that increased accommodation would very shortly have to be considered, also that the rapidly increasing Catholic population of Gisborne would necessitate the building of a much larger church.
