The Empress of Germany, in the early days of this year, presented an ebony crucifix to the Auguatinian nuns of the Convent of St. Elizabeth, Antonsgasse, Cologne., At the foot a silver plaque “bears the following inscription: Presented by her Majesty Augusta Victoria, Empress and Queen, to the Convent of St. Elizabeth, Antonsgasse 7, Cologne, on the 12th January, 1912, the six hundredth anniversary of its erection.’
