Several tests of the use of engine kerosene from the Taranaki New Zealand Oil Wells Company's refinery in milking machine engines have been made during the past week, with such satisfactory results that several substantial orders for engine kerosene have been received in consequence. The demand for refined products from the company's works remains strong. During the last week several large orders have been received, and they will be filled this week. The company has reecived one definite order of 5000 gallons of fuel oil, with a request for a further 50,000 gallons for the same company.
