WEDDING BELLS

GILMOTJR—PARKER. The marriage took place at St. Mary's' Church, Gisborne, on March 31. of Mr. James Gilmour, of Gisborne, to Miss Jane Parker, second daughter of Mr. Charles Parker, of Gisborne. Miss Powell, of Kapuni, Taranaki (a cousin of the bride) was bridesmaid, and Mr. Toal officiated as best man. The bride was prettily attired in a dress of grey crepe-de-chene, and wore a hat trimmed with autumn foliage, whilst the bridesmaid's costume was of embroidered muslin with a grey felt hat, and she wore a gold bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. After the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. Father Lane, the bridal party drove to the residence of the bride's parents, where the wedding breakfast was partaken'of. The happy couple left for the south on their honeymoon trip. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue tailored costume with blue felt hat to match. They were the recipients of a large collection of beautiful presents, including cheques and a handsome silver tea service from the H.A.C.B. Society.
