CONVENT SCHOOL, PAHIATUA

The musical entertainment given by the convent pupils at the Foresters’ Hall on the evening of December 20 (says the Fahiatua Herald was largely attended and proved a very successful gathering. The programme was of a varied character, and the manner in which the pupils acquitted themselves reflected great credit on the tuition of the Brigidine Sisters. Each item was heartily applauded, and several of the performers were recalled the audience being lavish in their appreciation. A feature of the entertainment was a novel musical play, in which many circus characters were cleverly impersonated. v A pony was also ridden round the stage.
