SACRED HEART CONVENT, TIMARU.

On Wednesday, December 11, his Lordship Bishop Grimes presided at the annual ' break-up' ceremony and distribution of prizes of the Sacred Heart Convent. In the course of an eloquent address he specially emphasised the sound Christian education imparted by the devoted Sisters, and the fact that the ex-students from their colleges were noted for their sterling Catholicity and upright principles. Some local and Visiting clergy were also present to enjoy the attractive musical and histrionic programme provided by the pupils. The classes will re-open on February 12, 1912.
