Grey Education Board and Scholarships

In our last issue we stated that . the Grey Education Board, at the request of the Very Rev. Dean Carew, S.M., had approved of the Convent Secondary School, Greymduth, as a school where the Board and National Scholarships might be tenable. The following is the formal intimation which Dean Carew has received from the Board in compliance with his request: ‘ Greymouth, 20th August, 1912, ‘Dean Carew, Greymouth. ‘Very Rev. Sir, —In reply to your letter of August 9th inst., I am directed to say that by unanimous resolution of the Grey Board of Education, St. Mary’s (the Convent Secondary School), Greymouth, is approved of by the Board as a secondary school (or its equivalent) at which Junior Board and Junior National Scholarships may be tenable. » ‘I have the honor to remain, Very Rev.
