His Grace the Archbishop of Melbourne has appointed Mr. O’Driscoll, head master of St. Ambrose’s School, Brunswick, as Inspector of Catholic Schools in the archdiocese of Melbourne, at a salary of £3OO a year, in succession to Mr. N. J. Cooke, resigned. The new Inspector (says the Advocate), who is registered as a teacher for primary and secondary schools* has been very successful in the teaching profession for the past twenty-five years. During the twelve years in which he had charge of St. Ambrose’s School, Brunswick, fifty diocesan scholarships were won by the boys, and during the past three years forty merit certificates were gained by this school.
