In connection with their annual break-up,’ the pupils of St. Catherine’s Convent will give a concert in His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday, 15th inst. The children have been diligently rehearsing for some time now, and very effective results arc promised. Last evening (Sunday) the Hibernian Band gave a concert from the Rotunda in the Post Office Square in aid of the fund for the benefit of the widow of the late Mr. J. Hunter, ferryman, Waiau River. The evening was very , fine, and a large number of promenaders enjoyed the concert. A collection resulted in over £3 being added to the ‘ funds. The following arc the results of the practical examinations in music under the auspices of Trinity College, London, held at St. Catherine’s Dominican College by Mr. Charles Schilsky on December 3; —Senior (advanced) division—Grace E. Patou, 69. Intermediate division—Winnie Anderson, 66; Mary Hyne, 61.
