Death of the Bishop of Kilmore

A cable message- received on Monday by the Very Rev. Father Murray, C.SS.R., Wellington, brought the sad news of the death of the Right Rev. Dr. Boylan, Bishop of Kilmore, Ireland. The late Dr. Boylan was born in County Cavan in 1842, and pursued his ecclesiastical studies at St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, where he was ordained in 1867. He was for eight years professor at St. Patrick’s College, Cavan, and later on bursar jat Maynooth for a period of twelve years. He entered the Rederaptorist Order in 1887, and in 1898 was appointed first Irish Provincial. He visited New Zealand in 1905, and was consecrated Bishop of - Kilmore in 1907.R.1.P.
