WEDDING BELLS
' CLAFFEY— KELLEHER. There" was a large gathering of friends at St. Patrick's Church, Lawrence, on January 19 Xsays the Tuapeka Times) to witness the marriage of Miss Annie Kelleher and Mr. John Claffey, both of whom' are well-known and highlyesteemed residents of Lawrence. The ceremony was performed by the- Rev." Father Morkane. The bride looked extremely well in a brown crystalline dress, ~ inlet with cream lace, and wearing a large- cream picture hat with brown-shaped tips, and also carrying a white ivory prayerbook. She was attended by her sister, Miss Alice Kelleher. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. John Kelleher as best man. As the bride entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. James Kelleher, a wedding march was played by the choir organist, Miss Woods. After the ceremony the wedding party drove to the residence of the" bride's parents, where breakfast was partaken of in a large marquee. The usual toast.3 appropriate to such a happy occasion were duly honored, and in the afternoon the happy couple drove to Johnston, where they took train en route for the Lakes. The high esteem in which the newlymarried couple is held was shown by the very large number of handsome presents of which they were the recipients.
