" The annu a l school picnic -was held at JNgaire Gardens on St. Patrick's Day, arid the children had a most enjoyable time. .<* The -local branch of the Hibernian Society is desirous of celebrating St. Patrick's Day in a suitablemanner, and with that- object a sports' club is to be formed. Mr. U. E. Major, M.P., has kindly donated a silver cup for competition,' and this, I have no doubt, will be an incentive for others to follow suit. * -
