The well-bred girl remembers never to ridicule sacred things, or what others may esteem as such, however absurd they may appear ta be. Never to resent, a suppojed injury until she kinows the views and motives of the author. Never to enter into a discussion with fny enthusiast or person much older than herself. Never to jest so as to wound, the feelings of others and to say as little as possible of herself and those who are .near and dear to her. Never, if possible, does she lose her temper, and she learns to speak .with calmness and d. liberation, especially in circumstances which 'tentf to irritate. ;
