Marie Narelle's Two Farewell Concerts

' At the- Princess Theatre next Monday, and Tuesday, February 11 and 12, Marie Narelle, the acknowledged Queen of- Irish Sons;, will make her farewell bow to Dunedin. The • Sunday Times,' in speaking of her Sydney concerts, says :— ' Miss Narelle gave the first concert of her Australian tour at the Town Hall- last night, and the enthusiasm displayed was of a remarkable character. The audience numbered fully 3000— there .was not a vacant seat in any part of the building— amongst those present being; her Excellency Lady Northcote and Miss Drummond, while 100 students of St. Vincent's College (where Miss Narelle received her early" education), all dressed in white, also attended. When. Miss Narelle- made her first entrance, the audience applauded " demonstratively, and at the conclusion of her initial num ber fully a dozen bouquets were handed up. They were magnificent samples -of Australian floriculture, and includ-ed-"a representation of a lyre and a laurel wreatih.
