Vicar-General, and C alhedral clergy, all of whom manifest deep interest, in the work <>t the Society among our destitute fel-low-ctr/.ens and paitieularly with regard to the many helpless -hi dren towards whom our first and most constant attention is di.ected. Although financially our years tiansaclions were closed with a small debit balance, it is oui pleasing duly to acknowledge timely assistance extended by the St. Patrick s branch H A.t B Society, wno advanced £5, pending a benefit entertainment the members are promoting in our 1 ll 101 CSXi. The following is a summaiy of Uie woik carried out during the year :—Fifty meetings were held 27? \isits were made to families, 70 visits to Hospital .).) visits to the! female Refuge, 2 2 \ isits to the Jubilee Memorial Home, 22 visits to the Salvation Army institutions, 16 visits to the Samaritan Home Frequent and protracted attendances have been made at the Police Court in the interests of neglected chiliL dren also at the Chantable Aid Boaid office- Nurstf. Maudes ( onsumptive Camps, and the Mayoral Gaal andj blanket fund committee, fiom which our deserving: pool people have been gianted a fair share of these - necessanes 'Iv.o hundied gainienLs have been made and""' chstnbuicd together with numeious new artfcles of clothing, boots, bedding, and a quantity of new matonal Many article-, of second-hand clothing, of which the Society has been made Hip medium of distribution and for which it is \eiy grateful, were given out in filty paicels, the whole comprising nearly 300 garments The president is officially tecognised as visitor in the State Receiving Home, and the baptism of infants, otherwise neglected, has in a good many instances been biought about by the Society.
