At the weekly meeting of the Boys' Club on Monday evening Dr. O'Neill lectured on r First Aid to the Injured,' the lecture being illustrated by practical demonstrations of how to act in cases of emergency. The Rev. Father Corcoran presided, and there was a good attendance. A vote of thanks to Dr. O'Neill proposed by Master J. Sullivan, seconded by Master J. Dunne, and supported by Rev, Brother Brady was carried by acclamation. The St. Joseph's Harriers held their run on Saturday from the Santa Sabina School in the NorthEast Valley. The attendance w a s good, notwithstanding the counter attraction at the Caledonian Grounds A course was taken over Pine Hill towards the Waterfalls, where the pack divided— l he probables for the teams race on the 11th inst. going on for a steady run, and the rest of the pack taking a shorter route back over the hills again. Although an exceedingly cold wind was blowing over the hill, a very enjoyable afternoon was spent. The ceremony of profess^n and reception took place at the Convent of Mercy, South Dunedin on Tuesday morning. His Lordship the Bishop officiated, and was assist-ed by the Rev. Father Howard. The youngladies professed were Miss Deegan, Winton (in religion lister Mary Aquin), Miss Scanlan, Cork (Sister Mary Columba), Miss Barry, Cork (Sister Mary Ursula) Miss Downy, Waitahiuna (Sister Catherine).
