4 3 er favor Messrs. Donald Reid and Co. Fal Cattle.— There was a large yarding of 170 head, the greater proportion of these being good to prune bullocks, the balance being medium heifers. Prices at the beginning of the sale were about on a par with last week's rates, but eased towards the finish. Best bullocks, £10 to £10 17's (id ; medium to good, £ii 15s to £ ( J 10s ; best cows and heifers, £7 5s to £8 2s Ud • others, £(> to £(J 15s. ' Sheep.— The yarding numbered 2150, amongst these being a fair number of prime wethers, and also a few pens of prime ewes. Prices were slightly easier owing to the large yarding, and towards the end medium sorts were difficult to quit. Best wetheis (in wool), 21s to 23s ; best do (shorn), KSs to 21s ; medium (shorn), 15s to 18s; best ewes, 15s (rd to 18s; medium, 11s to 15s. Lambs.— There was a large yarding of USU. Piices luled easier, and towards the end of the sale medium sorts were difficult to quit. Best lambs, 15s (id to I (is 3d ; medium, Ids (id to 15s 3d ; others, ,12s 3d to 13s (>d Pigs.— loo yarded, a iair number of these bantprune porkers and baconers. Owing to the large yarding prices were somewhat easier. Well-bred small .soils met with good inquiry, but other kinds were dillicult ol sale. .Suckers, 7s to lls (id; slips, lbs to ISs stoics 20s to 21s ; poikers, 28s to 35s ; light baconeis 37s tu' 42s , heavy do, -15s to 50s.
