OT. PATRICK'S COLLEGE WELLINGTON CONDUCTED BY THE MARIST FATHERS. Under the Distinguished Patronage of His Grace the Archbishop of Wellington. The object of the Marist Fathers in this country, as in their colleges in Europe and America, is to impart to their pupils a thoroughly Religious and a sound Literary education, which will snable them in after-life to discharge their duties with honour to Religion and Society, and with credt and advantage to themselves. Students are prepared for the N.Z. University Junior and Senior Civil Service, Medical Entrance, Solicitors' General Knowledge, Bank and all other Public Examinations. Students not preparing for the learned Professions have the advantage of a Special Commercial Court>e, under efficient management, where they are taught all that will be of use in mercantile pursuits. Special attention is also paid to the teaching of Physical Science, for which purpose the Colege possesses a large Laboratory and Demonstration Hall, Vocal Music, Elocution, Drawing, and all other branches of a Liberal Education receive due attention. Physical culture is attended to by a competent Drill Instructor who trains the students three times a week in Drill, Rifle Practice, and Gymnastics. A large and well -equipped Gymnasium ie attached to the College. The religious and moral training of the pupils is an object of special care, and particular attention is bestowed on the teaching of Christian Doctrine. A well-appointed Infirmary attached to the College is under the charge of the Sisters of Compassion, from whom in case of illness all students receive the most tender and devoted care, and who at all times pay particular attention to the younger and more lelicate pupils, who without such care would find the absence of home comforts very trying. J. M- J. SACRED HEART COLLEGE, RICHMOND ROAD, AUCKLAND. THE COLLEGE lifts its stately form on a section of land 14 acres in extent. It overlooks the Waitemata Harbor and commands a magnificent view of the Waitakerei Ranges. The College is built in brick on concrete foundations ; the dormitories are large and lofty ; the class rooms well lighted and ventilated ; and the baths supplied with water hot and cold. The great object of the Brothers is to give their pupils a sound Religious Education, and enable them to discharge the duties of their after-life with honor to religion, benefit to the State, and credit to themselves. Students are prepared for UNIVERSITY JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP, MATRICULATION, SENIOR AND JUNIOR CIVIL SERVICE, MEDICAL ENTRANCE, and SOLICITORS' and BARRISTERS' GENERAL KNOWLEDGE EXAMINATIONS.
